Block Cooler - Cooled Incubator - PCB2 - GRANT BOECKEL Block Cooler - Cooled Incubator - PCB2 - GRANT BOECKEL

For convenient dry temperature control, using aluminium as the temperature transfer medium, Grant block heaters are particularly useful for applications where the use of a water bath is not desirable: - they provide the ideal solution to the problem of achieving accessible, contamination-free temperature control within a fume hood or safety cabinet - safe operation at high temperatures without the need to use oil - the laboratory remains steam- free during high temperature procedures.

The Peltier effect produces efficient cooling and heating for small thermal loads - the compact and clean alternative to bulky refrigerated coolers. The Grant/Boekel personal benchtop coolers are ideal for numerous laboratory applications requiring cooling of small sample volumes.

Universal Features/Coolers

  • push button setting and digital display for ease and reproducibility of temperature setting
  • microprocessor temperature control
  • large temperature display for clear visibility
  • compact and with a small footprint, personal benchtop coolers are convenient and effective

PCB2 Block Cooler/Cooled Incubator

  • convertible - for use either as a cooled dry block system or a cooled incubator
  • temperature range +4C to ambient
  • large open well accommodates 2 standard dry blocks (not included)
  • accommodates small beakers and flasks or up to three standard microplates when stacked
  • Peltier effect heat pumps do not use compressors or CFC's
  • well is watertight, functions as a small refrigerated bath

supplied with:

  • domed plastic lid
  • block extraction tool for easy and safe removal of the blocks

Applications

  • ideal for maintaining the 14C temperature used in ligation reactions or 17C for storing
  • cooling blood samples prior to coagulation testing
  • maintaining samples at ice bucket temperatures, without the mess of melted ice
  • storing samples from ambient to 4C
