The Compact Pulse Detector complies with the requirements of AS3894.1-2002 and Nace Standards: TM0186-94; TM0384-94; RP0490-2001; RP0274-98 & RP0188-99

Applications for compact pulse detector from PCWI:

The compact pulse detector is used for detection of coating porosity (pin-holes, or holidays) in dielectric (insulation type) coatings on conductive substrates, including concrete.

Regulated Pulsed output fully adjustable.

Compact Pulse Detector is ideal for use:

• In moist conditions.
• On wet coating surfaces.
• On contaminated coating surfaces.
• On carbon-impregnated coatings, ie: carbonated.
• On plastic/fibreglass type coatings likely to become electrostatically charged.
• Coating Thickness Range: 150 to 25,000m using P40 model.

Controls:

1 LED display.

2 On/Battery condition indicator Light.

3 Visual alarm indicates when fault is found.

4 Voltage Up.

5 Voltage Down.

6 Off.

7 On.

8 Audible alarm when fault is found.

9 Earphone (connected on opposite side).

10 Fuse (2.5A slow blow) 5 x 20mm.

11 Earth connection point.

12 Alarm sensitivity wet or dry conditions (located in battery compartment).

13 Charge connector.

14 Clip-on power pack.
