General purpose chamber furnaces (GPC)
  • Chamber capacities of 36, 65, 131 and 200 litres at 1200C
  • Chamber capacities of 36, 65 and 131 at 1300C
  • Low thermal mass insulation
  • Free radiating resistance wire elements
  • Maximum temperature is reached very quickly
  • Hard wearing hearth is fitted as standard
  • Insulated door opens vertically keeping hot face away from operator
  • Safety switch isolates power from elements whenever door is opened

1200C Large chamber furnace (LCF)furnace

  • For long term ageing of nickel based super alloys ranging from 25 - 800mm in length
  • Process is carried out at temperatures between 700C and 1000C depending on size & specification of the component
  • The furnaces are heated by heavy-gauge wire spiral elements located in the roof and below the hearth
  • Temperature uniformity within the chamber is better than 10C
  • Specially designed retort constructed from 4mm thick inconel, which is 490mm (w) x 325mm (h) and 890mm (d)
  • A sand seal provides a gas-tight fit between the base and the lid
  • Atmosphere inlet/outlet pipes protrude from the base & through an aperture in the furnace door for connection to the inert gas supply
  • The retort is lifted in/out of the furnace by a charging machine
  • Maximum power rating 36kW
  • Accurate temperature control is provided by a Eurotherm 2416 programmer with one programme and eight segments

1200C Large chamber furnace (LCF)furnace

  • Maximum operating temperatures of 1200C and 1400C
  • Chamber capacities range from 125 to 675 litres
  • 1200C models are heated by heavy gauge spirally wound wire elements, located in the roof and under the hearth
  • 1400C models are heated by silicon carbide elements, located in the same positions
  • Manually operated vertically sliding door is fitted as standard and keeps hot face insulation away from operator
  • Pneumatically and electrically operated doors can be fitted as an option

Front loading chamber furnacesfurnace

  • Maximum operating temperature 1000C
  • Guaranteed temperature uniformity of 25C from 500C to 1000C
  • Internal dimensions - 2500mm long x 3300mm wide
  • Charge height - 800mm; hearth height - 1200mm
  • Heated by wire spiral elements in the walls, roof, door & hearth
  • Low thermal mass ceramic fibre insulation
  • Hard wearing hearth is supplied with an air cooling system designed to rapidly cool the hearth from 990C to 300C in 5 hours
  • Temperature sensors - 2 off type K thermocouples
  • Limit switches prevent power to the elements when door is open
  • Electrically operated vertically rising counterbalanced door
  • Maximum power consumption - 300kW
  • Power supply requirements - 415 volts 3-phase 50Hz 4 wire fused
  • Holding power - 50kW @ 1000C
  • Will heat a charge of 10000kg + hearth to 1000C at 100C/hour
  • Overall dims. (door closed) - 3905mm(l) x 4480mm(w) x 2870mm(h)

750C Air recirculating chamber furnace (HRF)furnace

  • Maximum operating temperature 750C
  • Standard chamber capacities of 22, 112 & 324 litres
  • Heating is provided by resistance wire elements on both sides of the chamber
  • Easy clean stainless steel inner chamber and zinc coated outer case
  • A powerful centrifugal fan and air guide system force air over the elements and back through the work chamber, providing uniform temperature distribution and rapid heat transfer
  • Side-hinged double-sealed door, which minimises heat losses, is fitted as standard
  • Double skin construction ensures safe outer case temperature
  • Suitable for stress relieving, tempering, normalising, annealing & other low temperature heat treatment processes
