Flow rates from 0.001-10mL/min are selectable in 0.001mL steps with pressures up to 40MPa available. The pump heads, using ceramic inserts, are inert and bio-compatible.

Pumps may be programmed from their keypad, using the 4 line LCD display of menus, prompts, parameters, etc.Up to 30 methods may be created, stored with protection and recalled for reproducible conditions.


Two pumps may be controlled by the CE4201 detector to form gradients without system control by PowerStream. A semi-preparative version of the pump is available with flow rates 0.05 50L/min at pressures up to 15MPa.

PowerStream Interface CE4900
PowerStream is the powerful new chromatography software, developed by Cecil Instruments R & D, for HPLC system control and data processing. It is used in conjunction with DataStream software, also developed by Cecil Instruments, to provide data transfer and comprehensive display, processing and manipulation of spectral scans.

The PowerStream system manager interface unit, shown here, is designed as a space saving stackable module.


The unit is supplied whenever CE4900 PowerStream system control and data processing are required. When system control is not required, PowerStream CE4901 is provided, with an interface module without the control feature.

Auto Sampler CE4800
The CE4800 is an auto sampler of the very highest precision. It accommodates 128 samples in a 16 x 8 sample tray.

A positive displacement technique ensures accuracy by reducing effects of viscosity and cavitation. The piston action of the hollow sample vial cap is used to displace the sample after the cap has been penetrated by the sampling needle.

The auto sampler is ideal for QA applications requiring the highest precision, better than .2%. Provision is made for manual sample injection and a refrigerated sample option is available operating in the range 4C to 40C.

Dynamic Mixers
Binary and Ternary dynamic mixers are available for gradient forming at pressures up to 40MPa. The CE4120 and CE4130 are for binary and ternary mixing respectively and are made from stainless steel and measure only 8cm x 10cm for convenient mounting on the detector.

For bio-compatibility mixers CE4121 and CE4131 are available in PEEK and operate up to pressures of 12MPa.

Column Temperature Control
The conveniently small CE4651 heated oven provides temperatures between 30C and 80C, for all normal columns and guard columns, stable within 0.2C over 24 hours.

The CE 4650 Peltier heated and cooled oven offers a temperature range of 5C to 60C. Both ovens are excellent value and require a bench space only 10cm x 10cm and attach to the side of any Adept system stack. They are designed for safety with electronics protected from flammable solvent leaks.

Temperature Control for Three Columns
The CE4601 heated and CE4600 heated and chilled ovens are alternatives to the ovens above. They accommodate up to three analytical or preparative columns and the CE4601 is required with Ion Chromatography System 8.

Provision is made for mounting a Rheodyne injector and also a column switching valve. A leak detection system with adjustable threshold is fitted.

Solvent Degassers
To enhance performance by reducing bubble formation two vacuum solvent degasser units are offered; the CE4040 for up to four solvent lines and the CE4020 for two channel operation. Each line can handle flows of 5mL/min and channels may be connected in parallel for increased flow rates.

Gas is removed to better than 1ppm at 1mL/min flow rate reducing baseline fluctuations and improving sensitivity. Solvents are only in contact with PTFE and PEEK so the units are inert to HPLC solvents.

Solvent Reservoir Organiser
The CE4033 is a solvent reservoir organiser for 3, one litre, calibrated solvent reservoirs and is designed to fit neatly on top of the UV detector units.

The unit is fitted with a lifting handle and a pipe guide to organise the solvent pipes from the bottles.

The unit allows free access to the column, injector valve and flowcell.
