In 2006, Transgenomic decided to exit the Synthetic Nucleic Acids business and liquidate the associated manufacturing assets in the UK. To this end RHYS International Ltd was contracted by Transgenomic to sell, relocate and decommission major items of laboratory and manufacturing equipment.  RHYS International Ltd was given full authority to broker a nucleic acids pilot plant along with the associated manufacturing and laboratory equipment worth over £1.1 Million. RHYS was instrumental in generating potential clients, arranging site visits, site supervision, de-commissioning and re-locating instruments and equipment to the new customer site facilities, whilst generating a financial return for Transgenomic. During the contract period Rhys’ management team carried out regular progress reports which were communicated to both the on site team and directly to the Vice President. This ensured that the project was met strictly to the time schedules stipulated by Transgenomic.  RHYS International will be called upon should a similar need reoccur, and would like to take this opportunity to thank Rhys for their participation in the asset sale from this UK operation. 

During 2007 Rhys Int. was once again called upon by Transgenomic, Cramlington site to assist with the restructure of its Synthetic Nucleic Acids business . Assisting in part demolition, decommissioning, relocating and procuring of small and large larboratory assets.
