Lixi CX-70-25H02 X-Ray System
The CX-70-25H02 unit is a real time x-ray system. This mobile device produces real time images. Its most useful applications are in a wide variety of situations where large size is not important but self-contained mobility and maneuverability is necessary. The x-rays are produced by an x-ray tube in the tube housing assembly of this device.
Principle of Operation:
X-ray's are generated by high voltage acceleration of electrons in a vacuum tube striking a target. The electron beam is filtered and collimated before it leaves the tube housing assembly. It then travels through whatever object is in the beam forming an x-ray image due to differential attenuation in the object caused by differences in material density. This x-ray image will pass through the light shield and impinge on the scintillator screen in an image intensifier system.
A high resolution camera is coupled to the output end of the intensifier. Objects of interest are placed on a motorized X-Y stage and moved about by means of a joystick or optional computer. The operator views the objects on a monitor and can increase or decrease the geometric magnification by means of a motorized Z axis on which the image intensifier system is mounted.
The CX-70-25H02 is a high magnification interlocked cabinet x-ray system which utilizes a 7kv microfocus x-ray generator and a 25mm real-time fluoroscope detector.
Lixi's cabinet X-Ray systems are manufactured to comply with the requirements of DHHS 21CFR. The CX-70-25H02 cabinet system has a 12"x12" motorised X-Y table and a 3" to 59" Z axis stage. The system also includes a small parts rotator. The motion of the X-Y stages are controlled by a joy stick. The X-Y table will handle samples up to 10 pounds while the rotator will handle small parts up to one pound. All 2001-HM cabinets are equiped with a laser pointer to assist an operator in locating the position on a part being x-rayed. The laser is positioned so that it will illuminate, with a red dot, the pointer where the centre of the x-y ray beam passes the the X-Y table and/or the part being inspected. The imaging assembly must be raised to a height of 16" or greater above the table in order for the laser's dot to strike the table. At lower positions, the imaging assembly obstructs the laser's red dot.
The X-Ray cabinet is equipped with a large door which contains a lead glass window for direct viewing of product on the X-Y table. The cabinet also has a fluorescent light located on the inside ceiling. There is an On/Off switch located on the right hand side of the light fixture.
The system is furnished with a 70 Kv microfocus generator with a 0.010mm x 0.010mm focalspot size.
