Ethrog large format products, E-Gel® 96/48 and E-PAGE™, are mounted on the E-Base™ integrated power device. The user selects the E-Base™ program and run time according to the consumable product loaded.

• The unique design of E-Base™ allows for the concatenation of ‘daughter’ bases to ‘mothers’, so that only one wall outlet is required for up to 384 gel lanes.
  
• A digital display and two-color LED alert the user to the program selected, time remaining, and status of the run. The E-Base™ tests the cassette prior to the run or the loading to ensure electrode integrity and overall functionality.
  
• The E-Base™ ‘footprint’ is precisely designed to fit into flat or ‘grooved’ platforms used on the workspace of liquid handling systems, such as Tecan’s Freedom Evo, Beckman Coulter’s Biomek FX, and many others.
  
• When loading multiple gels on automated systems, a ‘dummy’ base, named E-Holder™, is available to reduce the load while the E-Base™ is used to run other gels.
