Computer-controlled:

Improved accuracy and precision

  • Accuracy and precision improved: piston movements are operator-independent.

  • Computer-controlled linear actuator moves the piston.

  • Piston moves correct distance, at correct speed, independent of user variation.

Reduces risk of repetitive motion injuries

  • The computer operates the actuator when the trigger is pressed.

  • Automatic "blowout" stroke complete dispenses the last drop.

  • No strain to the thumb and no heavy blowout spring.

  • Pipetting with an EDP2 reduces the risk of repetitive motion injuries.

 

Rapid, no-slip volume setting

 

Setting the volume is fast and easy, using up and down arrow keys, with the volume selection shown on the liquid crystal display. The volume control is locked duting the pipetting cycle, preventing accidental changes.

Multiple dispense and adjustable speed

As well as simple pipetting, EDP2 can pick up one sample and dispense multiple aliquots. The Mode button also controls aspiration and dispensing speed: fast for aqueous samples or slow for more viscous samples.

 

Pushbutton tip ejector

  • Tip ejector disposes used tips without hand contact.

  • New shaft material and thin-wall FinePoint™ tips, for soft-seal fit, easy ejection.

 

Self-calibrating

  • EDP2 pipettes self-calibrate to proper piston position after each dispensing sequence.

  • Measurement errors from incorrect calibration are absolutely prevented.

  • Accuracy and precision guaranteed to published specifications with Rainin pipette tips.
